Alter Bridge discography highlights:
Alter Bridge were found after the breakup of "Creed", by the "Creed's" former members, guitarist Mark Tremonti and drummer Scott Phillips in 2004. Their debut album "One Day Remains" was released on August 2004 and the second album, "Blackbird", was released on October 2007 and it was produced by Michael Baskette. "One Day Remains" peaked at number five on the US Charts, but "Blackbird" have not been so succesful.
Between their first two albums Alter Bridge switched their record label from Wind-Up Records to Universal Republic. There are also a big musical difference between the albums, because almost all of the material for "One Day Remains" were composed before Myles Kennedy joined the band. His contribution to songwriting on "Blackbird" was big.
Alter Bridge released their third album "AB III" on November 2010. This album is the first one that was published by their new record label Roadrunner Records. The first single of this album, "Isolation", became the most successful of all their singles so far peaking the number one on charts around the globe.
The beginning of the year 2011 saw Alter Bridge finally release a live album. "Live in Amsterdam" was recorded back in the 2008 at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam and contains the concert as a live CD and a video recording on DVD. The concert features most of the bands greatest hits and also a couple of cover songs.
