Asking Alexandria discography highlights

  • The first incarnation of Asking Alexandria was formed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2003 and was first called "Amongst Us" but was soon changed to "End of Reason". In 2006, the band finally decided to call itself Asking Alexandria.
  • The major force behind the band's formation was guitarist Ben Bruce. When he moved back to England from Dubai in 2008, the other band members of Asking Alexandria stayed in Dubai, but Bruce decided to carry on with the band and contacted his former band mates to join in.
  • Although having the same name, Ben Bruce has stated that the incarnation of Asking Alexandria formed in Dubai was a different band playing different kind of music, compared to one he formed in England.
  • The debut album of Asking Alexandria was released under Sumerian in September 2009 and it was produced by Joey Sturgis. The album reached top 200 in US Billboard 200 album chart peaking number 170. The first single of the album was "The Final Episode (Let's Change the Channel)" which was released in December 2009.
  • The band released their second album "Reckless & Relentless" in April 2011 and it was also produced by Joey Sturgis and released under Sumerian label. "Reckless & Relentless" was much more successful compared to it predecessor peaking number 9 in the US Album chart. In Australia the album peaked number 30 and in UK number 98.
