Augustana discography highlights:

• Augustana was founded in Greenville College, Illinois, United States in autumn 2002 by Dan Layus and a couple of his friends. At first, the band was supposed to be called "The Looking Glass", but the name Augustana was chosen instead.
• Before signing the major recording deal with Epic Records, Augustana recorded and released independently the full-length album "Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays" and EP "Mayfield EP". Only 1000 copies were made of the album, and only 25 copies was released of the EP.
• The band's first release for major record label was "All the Stars and Boulevards" which came to record stores in September 2006. At first, the album did not gather any special attention, but after the single "Boston" was featured in an episode of TV series "One Three Hill", the raise to prominence began.
• Their second major album "Can't Love, Can't Hurt" was released by Epic in April 2008. It debuted at number 21 on Billboard 200 chart in the US. Tracks from this album have featured in several TV series including "One Tree Hill" again and "Numb3rs".

The band's third major label album and forth studio album, self-titled "Augustana" was released in April 2011. Again, one track of the album was featured in TV series. This time it was a song called "Just Stay Here Tonight", and the series was "Private Practice".
In September 2011, it was announced that Augustana has disbanded.
