Between the Trees discography highlights:

• When the band was originally formed, most of its members where still in high school. Back then the members were Ryan Kirland and brothers Josh and Jeremy Butler. At first, the band performed their music as a trio, but later, the keyboardist Wes Anderson hopped in. After this, they appointed Brad Kriebel as their second guitar player as well.
• The band released their first album "The Story and the Song" on September 2006 under Bonded Records label. At this time, the band was still a quintet.
• When the band started to record their second album called "Spain", they became a trio again, due to the departures of Wes Anderson and Brad Kriebel. This album was supposed to be released under Universal Music but the band eventually decided to distribute the album by themselves. The album was released in August 2009.
• Music magazine Alternative Press listed Between the Trees on their list "100 Bands You Need to Know in 2007". The list featured also bands like "The Kooks", "Silversun Pickups", "Cold War Kids" and "As Tall As Lions".

On September 2010 the band announced on their Myspace-page that they would disband before the end of the year and they eventually played two farewell concerts on December 2010. The tour-guitarist Stevie Benz was made an official member of the band for its last months.
Between the Trees was an active live band playing over 400 concerts in the USA during their career.
