Matt Nathanson was born March 28th, 1973 at Lexinton, Massachusetts, United States.

In July 2003 Nathanson released his debut album called "Please" via Acrobat Records. The album includes 13 tracks and the most of them Nathanson had made when he was still in high school. Between the years 1997 and 1999, Matt Nathanson released an album every year, all via Acrobat Records. "ERNST" was released in 1997, "Not Colored Too Perfect" in 1998 and "Still Waiting for Spring" in 1999.

"Some Mad Help" released in August 2007 is the sixth album of Nathanson and it was the first one to reach US Billboard 200 Album chart. The album spent 34 weeks on the chart and peaked at number 64. The album was produced by Marshall Altman and Mark Weinberg. Tracks "Come on Get Higher" and "Car Crash" were released as singles.

In June 2011 the seventh album of Matt Nathanson was released by Vanguard Records. The album was called "Modern Love". Kristian Bush of Sugarland and Jennifer Nettles are featuring artists on the eight track "Run". The album peaked at number 17 on US Album chart and spent nine weeks there.
