- Ryan Star was born January 7th, 1978 at New York City, New York, United States. Star joined a band called "Stage" when he was just fourteen years old. The band released several EP albums and also a couple of full-length studio albums. Somewhere near the year 2005 the band disbanded and Ryan Star began his solo career.
- In 2005 Ryan Star released independently his debut solo album called "Songs from the Eye of an Elephant". On the cover of the album, artist's name is stated as R. Star. In September 2006 Koch Records re-released the album.
- "Last Train Home EP" released in June 2009 was the first recording of Star to reach Billboard's charts. The album peaked at number 42 on Heatseekers Album chart in June 2009. Album contains four unreleased tracks and two music videos.
- In August 2010 was released the second full-length studio album of Ryan Star. The album was called "11:59" and it was produced by Matt Serletic and Howard Benson. Singles were made of tracks "Breathe" released in August 2009 and "Start A Fire" released in September 2010. The album peaked at number 31 on US Billboard Album chart and at number 10 on Rock Album chart.
