The Cataracs discography highlights:

  • The Cataracs was formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 2003 by David-Benjamin Singer-Vine and Niles Hollowell-Dhar. The two had met in Berkeley High School. The name of the band is taken from "Snoop Dogg's" song "What's My Name, Pt. 2".
  • After finishing high school both of the musicians went to university but both soon realized that if they were to make a career in music, they should leave school. Both did so.
  • The debut album of The Cataracs was published under Cyrano recording label in 2006 and was called "Technohop Vol. 1".
  • The sequel of their debut album was called "Technohop Vol. 2" and it was released in 2007, again under Cyrano label.
