• The Dead Weather is an American rock super group and it was formed in 2009. The band consists of members of several popular rock bands. The members are singer Alison Mosshart, drummer Jack White, guitarist and keyboardist Dean Fertita, and bass-player Jack Lawrence.
• The band played its first live gig to celebrate the release of their first single "Hang You from the Heavens" in March 2009. The gig took place in the headquarters of Third Man Records, Nashville, United States.
• The debut album of The Dead Weather called "Horehound" was release in the summer of 2009. The album was produced by the band's drummer Jack White and it was released under Third Man and Warner Bros. The album peaked number 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
• The band's second album "Sea of Cowards" was released in May 2010 and its first single was "Die by the Drop". The Rolling Stone magazine listed the album on the 11th place on their "thirty greatest albums of 2010" list. The track "Rolling in on a Burning Tire" was featured on the soundtrack of the movie "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse". The album peaked at number 5 on the US album chart.
