  • The Dirty Heads was formed in Orange County, California United States in 1996 by Dustin Bushnell and Jared Watson who had met each other in high school. The pair started to record songs that combined elements of hip-hop, reggae and punk. A bit later, Jon Olazabal, David Foral and Matt Ochoa joined in to form a full band.
  • At first the band signed a recording deal with Warner Bros. but this relationship did not last long since the band and the label had artistic differences and issues between them.
  • The debut album of The Dirty Heads was released in September 2008 under Executive Music Group label and was called "Any Port in A Storm". The album peaked number 55 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The first single of the album was "Lay Me Down" featuring Rome Ramirez. The single peaked number 93 on US single chart.
  • A special version of "Any Port in A Storm" album has also been released and it includes more featuring artist such former "Guns 'N Roses" guitarist Slash and M. Shadows featured on the track called "Check the Level". This track was also released as a single in 2010.
