"Visiter" is the second album of the band released in March 2008 by Frenchkiss Records. The album was produced by John Askew. The album peaked at number 31 on Billboard's Heatseekers Album chart spending five weeks on the chart. Tracks "Red And Purple" and "Fools" were released as singles.

The third album of The Dodos called "Time to Die" was released by Frenchkiss in September 2009. Phil Ek, who has previously worked with bands like "The Shins", "Band of Horses" and "Fleet Foxes" produced the album. The album reached TOP 10 of Billboard's Heatseekers chart peaking at number 8 and spending three weeks on the chart. "Longform" was the first single released from the album.
